Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

1. Introduction

ChristianOS (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is operated as an independent iOS application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it.

We built ChristianOS for Christian men who want to grow in discipline and purpose. We take your privacy seriously. We do not sell your data. We do not run ads. We collect only what we need to make the app work for you.

By using ChristianOS, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you complete onboarding, we collect:

  • Your first name — used to personalise your experience throughout the app. This is the only personal identifier we collect.
  • Your wake-up time, prayer time, and scripture time — used to schedule your daily notifications
  • Your kingdom assignment — a one-sentence description of what you are building. Used to personalise your daily prayer prompts and kingdom tasks via our AI system.
  • Your kingdom category — the broad category of your assignment (business, career, content, family, ministry, or other)
  • Your onboarding responses — including your main struggle, what gets in your way, your prayer frequency, your faith status, your identity type, and your commitment level. These are used to personalise your prayer content and improve your experience.

2.2 Information Generated by Your Use of the App

  • Daily logs — records of whether you completed prayer, scripture, and kingdom work each day, along with timestamps and any optional reflection notes you write
  • Streak data — your current streak count and longest streak
  • Weekly reflection responses — text you write in the weekly reflection feature
  • Journal entries — free-form text you write in the journal feature
  • Covenant records — your covenant start date, end date, and progress through each 90-day cycle
  • AI-generated content — the prayer prompts, fallback prayers, scripture verses, and kingdom tasks generated for you each day are stored so we do not regenerate them unnecessarily

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

  • Anonymous user ID — when you complete onboarding, we create an anonymous account using Supabase Auth. This ID links your data without requiring you to create a named account or provide an email address.
  • Subscription status — whether your subscription is active, expired, or cancelled, and whether you are on the weekly or yearly plan. This is managed through RevenueCat and Apple.
  • Device notifications — we schedule local push notifications on your device for your prayer time, evening check-in, weekly reflection, and covenant milestones. These are processed entirely on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.

2.4 Information We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect your email address
  • We do not collect your location
  • We do not collect your contacts
  • We do not access your camera or microphone
  • We do not track your activity on other apps or websites
  • We do not collect your device advertising identifier (IDFA)
  • We do not run analytics or tracking SDKs

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To operate the app Your name, covenant times, and assignment are used to display your personalised home screen, schedule notifications, and track your covenant progress.

To generate personalised content Your kingdom assignment, kingdom category, main struggle, and streak day are sent to Google’s Gemini API each morning to generate your daily prayer prompts, fallback prayer, and kingdom task. This is the only time your personal data leaves our servers to a third-party AI service. See Section 5 for details.

To track your covenant progress Your daily logs, streak counts, and weekly reflections are stored so you can see your progress over time and so the app can display accurate milestone information.

To manage your subscription Your subscription status is maintained through RevenueCat and Apple’s in-app purchase system. We use this to determine whether you have an active subscription and what features you can access.

To send you notifications Your prayer time, covenant details, and assignment are used to schedule local notifications on your device. We do not use a third-party push notification service. All notifications are generated and stored on your device.

4. How We Store Your Information

Your data is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud database service. Supabase stores data on servers located in the United States.

We implement the following measures to protect your data:

  • All data transmitted between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption
  • Your account is created anonymously by default. No email address or password is required to use the app.
  • Database access is restricted through Supabase’s Row Level Security policies
  • We do not store payment information. All payment processing is handled by Apple through the App Store.

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account through the Settings screen in the app, all of your data is permanently deleted from our servers including your journal entries, daily logs, covenant records, weekly reflections, and user profile. This action cannot be undone.
